Gallo, Piccola Sinfonia
Vincenzo Gallo
Piccola Sinfonia (1884)
It would seem most likely that the composer of this lovely original composition for band was Vincenzo Gallo (1861–1941), the founder of the town band at Barletta, Italy. However, the definitive work on nineteenth-century Italian band music by Marino Anesa does not list this composition among those by this man. Moreover, the name Vincenzo Gallo was very common in Southern Italy, so it could be the work of another composer.
